Electric heaters

What is an electric heater?

An electric heater can be used to heat a liquid or gas using electricity. The appliance can be made from brass and/or stainless steel 1.4301, 1.4305 and 1.4571.

When to use?

  • For which media: direct heating of liquids or gas.
  • When? Situations in which it is cheaper to heat the medium using electricity with an electric heater, instead of, for example, a tubular (shell & tube) or plate heat exchanger.

Which applications and sectors?

  • Typical applications: for heating water (e.g. drinking water, demineralised water, cooling water), oil (e.g. lubricating oil, oil for hydraulics, thermal oil, palm oil, rapeseed oil, crude oil, bitumen) or gases ((saturated) steam, air, oxygen, flue gases).
  • Typical sectors: HVAC, chemistry, hydraulics.

Product variations

Choose a variation:

Screw-in immersion elements

Electrical screw-in elements are used to heat liquids (water, oil, lye) or gases (air, nitrogen, flue gases) through direct contact.

Why choose our screw-in elements?

  • Stable, high insulation properties of the heater (> 100 Gigaohm)
  • Withstand high temperatures up to 700 °C
  • Inset sizes of 150 – 2250 mm
  • Wide range of standard heaters in stock at the factory

Flanged elements

Electrical flange elements are used to heat liquids (water, oil, lye) or gases (air, nitrogen, flue gases) through direct contact.

Why choose our flange elements?

  • Withstand high temperatures up to 700 °C
  • Flanges available in DIN, ANSI, Tri-clamp or customised
  • Inset sizes of 150 – 3500 mm
  • Electric control box can be provided
