The brake operates according to the fail-safe principle. This means that it starts operating in the event of a power failure and is released via a brake thruster. The braking torque of the spring-actuated disk and drum brakes can be set locally. The drum brakes meet with all specifications of DIN 15435 while the disk brakes meet with the industrial standard which ensures replace ability. Depending on the application the brake can be designed either with organic brake pads or brake pads made of powder metal.
